Parent  Conference Registration

As stated in Principal Healy's Daylights Newsletter, parents/Guardians will have an opportunity to discuss their child's progress with teachers at conferences to be held on four consecutive Tuesdays in January.  This year, parents/guardians will have the option of meeting with individual teachers or with the student's whole team at once.

You may register on-line a for the conferences beginning on December 1st at www.virtualparagon.com/day/conference/ . Enter the password Daydragons (case sensitive) and follow the instructions.

Please refer to a letter that was sent home in backpacks on November 24th for details on the conference schedules. Of course, if you have concerns about your child at any time during the school year, you should contact his/her teacher.  Please use the contact information that was sent home at the beginning of the year.

and teacher grants

This holiday season Thank A Teacher!!!

The Day Middle School community of students and parents is fortunate to have a dedicated team of outstanding teachers, assistants, specialists and staff.  These individuals make possible the wonderful learning environment for our children.

This holiday season you can thank any of these individuals by making a donation in appreciation of their hard work and dedication. A personalized holiday card will be sent to each recipient informing them of your gift (dollar amounts will not be specified). Funds from this drive will go towards the library purchases and teacher grants.

DayServes

Many many thanks to Chairpersons Eli Dan and Jeff Zabel and all the marvelous volunteers for a remarkable job implementing the school's first DayServes.  Several dozen people ventured out on a rainy November Saturday morning to rake leaves, build a fantastic closet in the music room (thanks to Curtis Betts and his carpentry team), plant flower bulbs, paint two classrooms, clean computers and hang SMART Boards.

Based on this pilot year's success, we look forward to another great DayServes next year!

Sincerely,
